i stopped using my ipod for a while (around a half a year to a year) and just recently started using it again in China. basically, while i do my thang here with my jams bumped up, it just feels like im listening to the soundtrack of my life. its pretty dang awesome. especially when the appropriate song comes on the right time.

when in china (rome),
so i was thinking about it, and since im in china trying to be more like the locals here, ive come up with a bucket list of things i should do to prove that ive become a native. heres the list:
1. spit in a public area where there is at least one woman, one baby, and 5 other locals in the area. (total 7 people)
2. pick my nose in public (there must be more than 10 people in the vicinity.)

sorry for the lack of updates. the days are pretty much the same but the realizations are not. here are a few: 1. people ALWAYS pop the collar on polo shirts. i wish i could line them all up and ride a motorcycle along the line while holding a giant fly swatter and slapping the side of their faces as i ride by. foolish mortals… 2. theres this stupid thing that ajushis (old men) always do....

As the time of my departure to China for 3 months approaches (approximately 24 hrs), i cant help but harbor bittersweet feelings.
just a couple thoughts in no particular order of importance (maybe except the first few):
1. approximately 227 days til the fidomyl by the time i get back.
2. distance makes the heart grow fonder.
3. China just got 100x busier.
4. 3 months off will be good for...
